The time allocated for keynotes is 60 minutes (recommended 45 minutes for the presentation and an additional 10-15 minutes for audience discussion and questions). The submitted abstract should be 300 words or less. Title shall not exceed 30 words.
Invited symposia represent the work of expert researchers focused on a specific topic.
- Each symposium has a chairperson and includes 3 to 4 presentations (recommended 15 minutes for each presentation, an additional 5-10 minutes for audience discussion and questions for each presentation or 20-30 minutes for global discussion).
- The time allocated for each invited symposium is 90 minutes.
- The symposium description, as well as the individual symposium abstracts, should be 300 words or less. Titles shall not exceed 30 words.
A symposium allows one to examine research issues, problems, or topics from various perspectives.
- Each symposium has a chairperson and includes 3 to 4 presentations (either three presenters with a discussant, three presenters without a discussant, or four presenters without a discussant) from 2-3 different countries.
- The time allocated for each symposium is 90 minutes (1 recommended 15 minutes for each presentation, an additional 5-10 minutes for audience discussion and questions for each presentation or 20-30 minutes for global discussion).
- The symposium description, as well as the individual symposium abstracts, should be 300 words or less. Titles shall not exceed 30 words.
A roundtable discussion can take different forms, depending on how the session chair (moderator) organizes it. It can be a panel discussion among experts (must have representation from multiple institutions) on a specific topic (for example, ideas, methods, or professional- and research-related experiences), or it can be more interactive, including participants from the audience in the discussion. The time allocated for each roundtable discussion is 90 minutes. The roundtable description should be 300 words or less. Title shall not exceed 30 words.
The individual oral presentation may be authored by an individual or a group of authors. Individual oral presentations are grouped into thematic sessions based on the topics, with several exploring a similar research area. Thus, the abstract should be linked to at least one of the conference’s topics. The submitted abstract should be 300 words or less. Title shall not exceed 30 words. The abstract will be viewable in the program.
- Each session has a chairperson and includes 4 to 6 individual oral presentations.
- The time allocated for each session is 90 minutes (10-15 minutes for each presentation is recommended, and an additional 5-10 minutes are recommended for audience discussion and questions).
The poster presentation may be authored by an individual or a group of authors and will be displayed on a portable wall. Poster sessions combine the graphic display of materials with the opportunity for an individualized, informal discussion on the presented research topic. Thus, at times, the author(s) of the poster will accompany it to answer conference attendees’ questions. To apply for a poster presentation, the author(s) must submit an abstract of a maximum of 300 words. Title shall not exceed 30 words.
- Poster sessions will be 60 minutes.
- Posters are displayed as printouts.
- The presenting author should be available throughout the session and be prepared to have their display removed no more than 30 minutes after the end of the session.
- The poster size is max A1 (594 x 841 mm). The layout is vertical.
- If you agree during submission, your poster will be evaluated for the best Poster Award.
The individual 5-minute oral presentation is authored by Early career scholars (undergraduates, post-graduates, PhD students, and post-docs who have defended in 2023 or later). Max 10 individual presentations are grouped into one session. The submitted abstract should be 300 words or less. Title shall not exceed 30 words.
- A session will have two or three chairpersons and include up to 10 5-minute presentations.
- The time allocated for a session is 90 minutes (5 minutes for each presentation and an additional 3-5 minutes for the chairperson’s reflection on the presentation).
